The history and the road to success

HESTEGO was established in 1995 as a small company producing protective components for moving parts in machine tools on leased premises. At that time, it had about 30 employees. In the same year, the company started producing telescopic covers for the Czech market. In 1997, the range of products was supplemented with production of steel cable carriers, which were also designated for export to Germany together with our telescopic covers . In 2001, our own production facility was built on 3,000 m2 in order to increase our manufacturing capacity. In 2005, a second stage of construction was completed, and the manufacturing premises were expanded by an additional 3,200 m2. At the same time, our equipment was supplemented with top-quality machines for cutting, bending, and welding. An automatic painting line was acquired for surface treating our products. These activities were reflected in sharp increases of turnover and the number of employees. In 2007, we focused on the modification and optimization of manufacturing processes, the extension of software potentialities, and further increases in production capacity. In that year, production lines were introduced to increase productivity and shorten the production cycle. In 2011, the production facilities were further expanded to 8,000 m2, and in 2014, we finished construction of the latest production hall, thus achieving a total of 12,000 m2 of manufacturing area. Our portfolio is divided into 3 basic manufacturing divisions and two service centres, each with its own production hall. At present, we are one of the most important suppliers of smart technical solutions on the market, and our goal is to expand our activities to additional markets like the US or Asia.
